littlereader is a minimalistic single-user RSS reader.
It's written in Go, and is fairly simple to get up and running.
- Clone the repo.
- Copy your
subscriptions.xmlfrom your Google Reader takeout. - Run
make import - Export your AWS S3 credentials to the standard variables, e.g.,
export AWS_ACCESS_KEY_ID=something
export AWS_SECRET_ACCESS_KEY=something(I keep these in a script.)
- Run
make run - Go to http://localhost:9090/
- Support Atom and RSS
- Automatic fetching every 12 hours of new articles
- Mark items as read
- Mark all as read
- Add feeds
- Uses S3 for storage
- Remove feeds easily
- Any theming
