create go workspace
export GOPATH to the root of your workspace
mkdir $GOPATH/src; cd $GOPATH/src
git clone https://github.com/mozilla-services/heka.git
go get github.com/bitly/go-simplejson
go install heka/graterd
go install heka/hekabench
